Building on a Firm Foundation, Tuesday Morning

The Epistle Reflection in our Eastertide Daily Devotions is taken from 1 Corinthians 1:26-27 (where St. Paul is making the point that what we might call foolishness on God’s part is wiser than human wisdom; that what we might ascribe to God as weakness is stronger than human strength), and from Galatians 3:26-28 (where St. Paul is arguing that the distinctions we make amongst ourselves, based on various demographic indicators, make no difference in our sharing in the life of Christ Jesus).

Our reflection time this morning could consider the character of God’s Kingdom, which is not built by the wisdom and strength of the world; and, the opportunity of God’s Kingdom where all are welcome – who will be subjects of the great King and children of God.  Your Kingdom come on earth as in heaven.
